Haha, I'm noticing a trend. I also lost power for days (Bergen Country, NJ) and consumed ample amounts of cheap beer to help pass the time, but mostly to stay warm. Rolling Rock got the job done well. I can drink about infinity of them, without feeling shitty the next day. Not so with Schaefer, which tastes like a tin can to me. PRR is another good beer for marathon drinking.

I was very lucky that I stayed safe and didn't get any major damage to my abode. My brother-in-law's folks in the Rockaways were not so lucky. I believe the Rockaways got hit the hardest, and it looks like a tornado swept through. They lost much of their house and belongings. A friend of a friend was also killed in this bitch of a storm.

I still know many people without power, suffering through some frigid nights. I encourage everyone that hasn't helped in some way, to PLEASE do anything you can. Whether it's just a donation of a few dollars, or physically cleaning up debris and helping people, I beg you to all help in some way. The devastation this has caused is unbelievable. Please help your fellow Americans!

Sorry to hear about your brother-in-laws folks. The Rockaways, Longbeach etc did get hit incredibly hard.
